The passage of the chimney through the insulated roof surface of the attic requires careful execution of corrugations made of sheet metal sealing the connection of the roofing with the chimney wall. The flashing should be turned on the chimney wall to the height of splashing rainwater, tj. about 30 cm. It is also recommended to secure the concrete cap covering the chimney with sheet metal work.
The roof truss should be moved away from the chimney wall to a minimum distance 10 cm. Thermal insulation should be brought to the chimney wall itself, vapor barrier and a layer of initial roof covering.
