The roof covering protects the building against precipitation, the effectiveness of this protection consists primarily in the efficient drainage of water dripping down the roof slope. Sloping roof coverings do not have to be as tight as in the case of flat roofs, thus allowing for easier drainage of internal moisture. As a result, these coverings are more durable.
Requirements for roofing materials:
• Trwałość – A properly made roof should last for many years.
• Szczelność ułożonego dachu – Properly selected shapes of invisible elements, for example, such as the side zippers in the tiles prevent water from flowing under the roofing. The available roofing systems are complemented by a whole set of accessories that ensure the durability and uniformity of the entire roof, including structural elements and insulation.
• Łatwość układania, the possibility of laying on any roof – Thanks to this, you can always choose the spacing of the battens in such a way, to avoid troublesome cutting of tiles in the ridge (applies to cement lap tiles, some ceramic lap tiles and carp tiles). Accurately matching elements allow for installation without wasting time, regardless of the complexity of the roof and the number of additional elements installed on the roof.
• Estetyka – Many different shapes and colors available, durability of color and uniformity of the roof laid.
• Tłumienie hałasu – A feature appreciated by investors only after some time of using the roof. E.g. ceramic and cement tiles, thanks to their weight, do not cause a tumbling effect during rainfall, which increases comfort when using rooms in the attics.
The most commonly used roofing materials:
– ceramic and cement tiles,
– coated, extruded profiled sheets in the shape of roof tiles and profiled sheets in trapezoidal or sinusoidal shape, – flat sheets,
– gonty bitumiczne.
