White cement and cements of other colors
These cements have the same strength characteristics, physical and chemical, what portland cement. So they can be used for the same structures. Due to their price and the idea of production, they are used only in places with a specially designed, appropriate color (lining elements, external parts of concrete, plastering trips).
White cement is obtained from raw materials devoid of iron oxides.
Colored cements are obtained by appropriate coloring and burning of clinker or by coloring white cement with appropriate pigments (dyes), usually oxides of dissimilar metals, e.g. Cr2O3, Mn2O3.
Oil is used to burn the colored cement clinker, not coal, to avoid ash contamination. This cement is much more expensive than others.
