Thermal insulation of roof slopes of the attic with visible truss - eaves construction above the raised knee wall.
Insulation with the use of mineral wool is an alternative to thermal insulation made of hard extruded polystyrene boards. This solution requires an additional structure overlaid above the actual rafters.
The roof plane is divided into two parts – the main structure exposed from the inside and an auxiliary structure hidden between the boarding and the roofing (with the height of the thermal insulation layer increased by the height of the ventilation gap). In the direction perpendicular to the rafters, on the formwork and on the vapor barrier, Wooden purlins are attached, and above them, counter-battens parallel to the rafters. The second formwork braces the auxiliary structure, it closes the space with insulation and serves as an undercoat for the initial covering and roofing.
