Cement transportation

Cement can be transported in bulk or in bagged form. Suitable means of transport protecting cement against precipitation must be used for transport, dampness and against contamination and damage to the packaging. Bagged cement should be transported in covered wagons; at short distances, e.g. from the station to the construction site, tarpaulin cars.

Loose cement should only be transported in specially adapted vehicles (cement trucks, cement wagons). Such vehicles are constructed this way, that they can be filled with cement by gravity, a empty by gravity or pneumatics.
