Cement for road construction
Cement for concrete intended for road and airport paving must have special properties due to the specific conditions of paving and their operation. It should show the lowest possible shrinkage, slow setting and hardening, limited fineness to 2500 cm²/g, high compressive and bending strength, viscosity when mixed with water. the ability to create a tight structure of the grout and high adhesion to the aggregate, and the concrete made of it has high frost resistance (min. 300 freezing cycles).
CEM I HSR and CEM I MSR class cements produced in Poland 42,5 meet the requirements described above with this. that the amount of alkali comes to 1.0%. what should be taken into account when designing the composition of concrete.
Hydrotechnical cement
This cement is characterized by a low content of C3S and C3A and is available in two varieties: variant I. (max 5% C3A). and II (max 8% C3A), in favor of C2S and C4AF. It is characterized by a reduction of approx 70% contraction in relation to Portland cement. The class of this cement is determined only after the expiration of 90 days. because it is intended for long erected and late loaded structures – they are mostly hydrotechnical structures, e.g. water dams.
